DTL Cable Lug is made from 99.9% pure Copper and 99.5% pure Aluminum, manufactured by friction welded. They are used for connecting the wires and cables to the connectors on the electrical equipments. The hole of the lug connects the screw, which must be tightened, and the tube of the lug connects the peeled wires and cables, which need pressed with crimping tools. Feature:
DTL series of copper-aluminum wiring terminal is suitable for transition of the circular aluminum wires, hemicycle-sector aluminum wire, power supply cable in the distribution equipment and copper terminals of the electrical equipment. The products adopt friction welding workmanship, It has advantage of good electric conductance, electrochemical corrosion resistance, long service life.
Technical Requirements:
1.Due to the coupling effect when Aluminum Comes in contact with copper, corrosion will happen in the short time.
The best solution is to use aluminum-copper bimetal connectors. It is according with IEC 61238-1.
2.The transition section between aluminum and copper is produced by friction welding, bending 180°,no breaking weld.
3.The marking should be clearly, well-proportioned with the depth of 3mm;
4.Closed angle and edge curl are not allowed at the mouth of the pipe.
Application:
Terminal connectors are used to connect tap conductor to power equipments
(transformer, circuit breaker, disconnect switch etc) or to wall bushing of substation.
